2Checkout is not a normal payment gateway, but rather becomes your authorized "retailer" and is included standard in all AgoraCart distributions. This is a good alternative for businesses just starting out, but who do not want to pay for a merchant account and/or their own gateway. This is not a person to person option like PayPal, nor is it a true gateway. 2Checkout is a great way to expand those capabilities, but be mindful of the items listed in the "misc" section below.

AgoraPay is a normal gateway and is standard in all AgoraCart distributions. One of the best priced major gateways out of the group for those that are looking for more than ProPay, Offline, or PayPal payment processing alternatives. AgoraPay is compatible with and is a strategic partner tothe iTransact and NiftyPay payment gateways. Probably one of the most flexible gateways in the AgoraCart pool, it also allows for many security features including failed payment IP blocking, live person code entry (to ensure it's a live person rather than a robot), permanent IP blocking, and more. Also supports "buy now" buttons with helpful wizards to help create the form codes you need. Gateway is very easy to use and setup compared to most on this list.

Transaction Fees: eft checks: $15 per month and 50 cents per transaction

NiftyPay to Play is designed for new startup businesses or small etailers who do not have any idea on what kind of monthly volume they expect to process monthly and do not want to pay for any significant minimum monthly fees. The NiftyPay to Play plan is designed for the next step up from 3rd party processing services such as ProPay, PayPal or 2CO, yet still allows you to accept PayPal payments without the need for multiple payment gateways in AgoraCart.

This is one of the most inexpensive payment processing options available to store owners. Must have a business account with PayPal for web accept functions. Customers must have a PayPal account in order to complete the order, but signing up for an account is fast and easy for most customers. Version 2 (of store managers) now allows currency type to be set online. PayPal is now included in distributions of AgoraCart as of version 5.0.000.
